No foolin' folks - the ABS Blues Jam on April 1st (April Fools Day) is our first food drive benefiting the Capitol Area Food Bank! Please plan to attend the jam and bring at least 3 cans of food. We need volunteers to help collect cans at the door and load food into a truck after the jam for del every to the food bank. Please contact Spencer Thomas our Events Chair at spencerthomas@austin.rr.com if you are interested.

Although it was a busy election day, the March jam was well attended and 8 new members joined our ranks in supporting Blues here in Central Texas. Every musician who signed up to play was able to perform on stage and it was a great evening of blues with local talent being featured.

The ABS monthly jam is open to all Blues Musicians! All ages welcome. The Jam is hosted by Kim Session & Leland Parks. Antone's House Band (w/ Derek O'Brien, Malford Milligan, Roscoe Beck and others) follows the jam.

The schedule for the upcoming series will be the third Tuesday of each month with 2 bands featured each month. It will be hosted by Spencer Thomas ABS Events Chair. Final winners of the Austin Blues Showcase Series will go on to compete at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
